On Friday I met with our terrific Outdoor Engagement team at Pinkham Notch, which gave me an opportunity to learn more about our A Mountain Classroom school programs, Teen Wilderness Adventures guided summer program, naturalist programs at our lodges and huts, and guided adventures and outdoor skills programs based at our New Hampshire and Maine destinations. These programs are so important to helping school kids and our guests form a lifelong connection to the outdoors, and I was particularly impressed with the work we are doing with the local schools in Coos and Piscataquis counties.
As great as it is to hear about these programs, I am hoping to get out with some of these groups this summer to experience our approach to outdoor engagement first-hand.
