Thoughts on Annual Meeting Weekend

Thanks to everyone I had a chance to meet at last weekend’s Annual Meeting at UMass Boston. The energy and experience of our volunteers are so critical to the success of our mission and Vision 2020. I was able to drop by the Chapters Committee meeting and a few conservation workshops, and offered some brief remarks at the business meeting.

Hats off to our development staff for organizing a terrific send off for Andy Falender at an evening reception and dinner at the JFK Library. Andy has left AMC on such a strong footing and with such momentum that I can only say, “Thank you.” And the hut theme of the evening was so fitting. I wish I could say my blanket folding skills were better! I will put that on my list of things to learn as I meet people across AMC in the coming months.

In the meantime, share your comments on this blog or Facebook, and I will do my best to address these issues in future posts.
